Tables: Believe it or not, tables are an item that most people don't think about until the last minute. If you're renting a room for your reception or your party you might take it for granted that tables come with the facilities. In many cases, this is not so. And of course if you are planning a party outside of a rental facility, you are on your own!
Linens: Hand in hand with the tables go the table settings. Renting linens is quite inexpensive and allows you to choose the colours that match your overall design.
Chairs: Again, quality and quantity are your primary concerns here. The facility may be able to provide stacking chairs, but will your guests be comfortable for the duration of your event?
Cooling equipment: Summer can mean sweltering temperatures and a lot of discomfort wherever large groups gather. If you are not in an air-conditioned facility, you might want to rent a couple of units to keep your guests comfortable while they are eating and dancing. If it is an outdoor event, large fans for circulating the air are a great way to go.
Electrical extras: Make sure that you have all the electrical power you need to drive the various pieces of equipment that are going to make the event a success. Extension cords, surge protectors, power bars and splitters will all be needed for a successful party.
